The standard Great Tusk moveset (some combination of Earthquake, Close Combat, Rapid Spin, Knock Off, and Ice Spinner for damaging moves) can't deal that much damage to bug types, letting you set up to +6 with Dragon Dance + Roost. You Tera Bug and proceed to trap Great Tusk permanently with Jaw Lock. On the next turn, you have Roaring Moon in against Great Tusk, which cannot switch out this turn due to Fairy Lock. Great Tusk spins into you expecting Spikes triggering your Eject Button and letting you get a free switch to Roaring Moon. Instead of using Spikes like expected, you actually use Fairy Lock. You lead Klefki, which baits in Great Tusk because Klefki is obviously a hazard setter and your opponent wants to spin away your hazards. It was a cheese set that a few people helped him develop. it isn't like you only have 1 tera and you have to use this, it's an option which I personally see as having great potential benefit if the situation is right and you get stab uturn as wellįor me it was that he tera'd to avoid play rough from azu instead of switching when 5 of finch's pokemon resist bug and finch didn't have tusk and (according to the pinned comment in the finch video) nerd didn't even have uturn I never understood why the idea got memed so much because tera flying means you basically have to use booster energy (what a burden I know) and doesn't really work with for example band sets or boots. now of course you could tera flying and do the acrobatics dance thing but it might not ohko and you die to spinner Like with this you resist both its stabs and you're not hit super by ice spinner if it wants to be safe and assumes you'll tera flying. I don't even think tera bug rmoon is a bad set because it does so well against great tusk the highest percentage used pokemon in the tier Mods may remove posts at their discretion.Ĭlick Here for All Links and Subs!
